School Supply Drive is Underway at DBA to Benefit Local Students

School Supply Drive Underway to Benefit Local StudentsThe Public Service / Congeniality Committee of the Dayton Bar Association has chosen to take on the project of serving needy children in the Dayton metropolitan area. Realizing that there are a variety of ways we can serve those in need, we decided to serve children in a concrete way that can meet immediate needs that might otherwise go unfulfilled. To this end, we are collecting school related items for children. The items needed are listed below:

  • #2 Pencils, standard size and extra large ones for kindergarten & 1st grade
  • Colored pencils
  • 3-ring filler paper, wide line
  • Plastic art boxes for school supplies
  • Rounded tip scissors
  • 16 pack crayons
  • Washable markers
  • 12” rulers
  • Small reward items that teachers can distribute to students as incentives such as stickers, small erasers or small toys like those found in Oriental Trading Company
  • Index cards
  • Colored pocket folders
  • Single subject spiral folders
  • Book bags
  • Facial tissues
  • Hand sanitizer
